Like a wave the cradle encloses one, fixing the focus away from the slope and towards the beautiful nature reserve and invites the visitor to take a well-deserved break and enjoy both nature and each other in different ways.

Description
Location: Höga Kusten Stigen near FriluftsByn
Co-ordinates: 63.065241, 18.341940
Construction year: 2017
The site we were given has a very challenging topography and are located on the border to the national park. It offers a rich flora and is a natural resting place after the steep climb here.
The concept began as floating platforms, both to introduce new ways of meeting nature, minimizing the physical imprint of the project and to trigger a kind of sensory awareness by having a moving floor. The result is the forestcradle. A floating platform of 20m2, hanging from four trees.
The platform has an organic floor that creates options for sitting and laying down while focusing on different segments of the surrounding nature. To protect the trees, we used a special suspension system and reinforced rubber strap.
